Classes

 The WHO HQ Fitness Centre offers a range of instructor-led classes to help members reach their fitness goals. These classes provide a great way to stay motivated in a friendly and safe space. Classes can be led by external or internal instructors who are trained in specific areas of fitness. External instructors are usually certified trainers or instructors with specialized knowledge in a certain type of fitness, such as Pilates, yoga, aerobics, and strength training. Internal instructors, mainly WHO and UNAIDS staff have committed to contribute to the improvement of members’ physical health, mental well-being by fostering a positive and supportive environment. Some offer free classes, other charge a nominal fee.

Functional and cross training

Functional and cross training is a type of exercise focused on real-world movements that are designed to improve balance, coordination, strength, and stability.

Pilates

Pilates Fundamentals is a mix of classical and contemporary mat Pilates with a focus on precision of movement and developing body awareness. With regular practice, this class will develop your core strength, improve your posture mobility and flexibility as well as help develop good daily functional movement patterns.

Strength Foundations

Strength Foundations are essential because they provide the building blocks for overall fitness, enhancing muscle stability, balance, and mobility. Ideal for those who want to improve their basic skills and performance in various physical activities. This will promote long-term health and well-being

Pump
 is a total body workout for anyone seeking to burn calories, shape and tone, increase core strength and improve bone health. Using light to moderate weights and high repetitions, this 50 min total body workout can burn up to 400 calories.

Open Gym


Open gym means unattended session, members have access to any of the gym facilities outside of class hours. This means that members Some areas are only for open gym, like the blue gym.
